Our trip to Tacoma has been amazing so far and I was so excited to keep having fun with the family. For the second day, we slept in a little bit and then went down to breakfast. My husband and I always try to stay at an Embassy Suites because their breakfast is the best. We got our omelets, fruit, bacon, hash browns, and drinks. After eating, we went back to our room to plan out our day. Our original idea was to go go on a Ferry to the San Juan Island and when we started looking at where to go, we realized it was a lot more expensive than we originally thought it would be. We also weren’t sure what we could do there with two little kids so we came up with another plan. We went to Pikes Place Market and walked around for a while. I got some garlic and chive noodles to make at home and we got some Chukar Cherries (they are so amazing). Then we headed North to go to some outlets. We found the only Lululemon outlet when we went to Canada and we wanted to go back.

After we got back to our hotel, we decided to rest for a while because we were all exhausted. We went down for the managers reception the hotel does and had some drinks and got Mason some snacks. I went to the restaurant at the hotel to order food to our room so we didn’t have to go out again. We got a cheeseburger, fries, and fish and chips. It was all really good and it was fun eating in our hotel room together. We tried to take Mason swimming after that, but it was really loud so he didn’t want to stay. We decided to drive around and show him the Space Needle instead.

On Sunday, our last day, we had breakfast and packed up the car. We headed North again to go to Everett and see the Funko Pop Headquarters. I saw someone post about it on Instagram and it looked like a lot of fun. It’s literally a giant store, but also like a big museum of all their figurines. We saw a lot there that we haven’t seen in stores. Mason found a fun game to play and Sean found Pop figures of The Office which is his favorite show. Mason picked out Toothless, the dragon from How To Train Your Dragon and he helped picked out a stuffed animal for his little brother. I found a Wednesday Adamms Pop Figure and had to get it because I used to watch that movie a lot and people have said I look like her. There were a lot of fun picture spots for Harry Potter, the Avengers, Frozen, Batman, and more. We had a blast and I would recommend going there if you’re in the area. We got there right as it was opening and were able to go right in, but then it got really busy and there was a line outside to get in.

This weekend trip was so much fun and I can’t wait to plan our next adventure! I love getting to take the kids to new places and to see Mason explore and try new things!

  1. Looks like a fun trip. I would love to visit the Funko Pop headquarters, though I’m sure my husband who hates Funko would be against it, haha.

    1. Haha I wasn’t into the Funko trend very much, but it was such a fun place to visit. My toddler loved seeing the huge statues and especially loved the Olaf area.

    1. It was so much fun! We went to Pike Place and always find some fun and yummy things there, but it’s so hard to navigate through there when we have two little ones and it’s so crowded!
