Avery is three months old now! The other day when we woke up, I picked Avery up, and I swear he grew over night. He felt heavier and bigger that day. He’s definitely growing a lot and isn’t a tiny, little baby anymore. I’m happy that I’m not too sad about him growing up like I thought I would be. I know it’s because he is such a happy, fun little guy. He is so alert, always making eye contact, smiling, babbling, and giggling/on the verge of really laughing. I love watching him enter this new stage and have fun seeing how happy he is every day.
Avery is definitely a better sleeper than Mason was. He takes naps during the day, but the length always varies because Mason always seems to wake him up. At night, he’s ready for bed around 7pm. I change him, feed him, and then swaddle him. If he’s still awake, I give him his pacifier and he goes to sleep. He usually only wakes up once during the middle of the night and just needs a diaper change and a quick feed, then he’s back asleep until 7 or 8 in the morning . I would say this is amazing, but it doesn’t help me get anymore sleep because Mason still wakes up between 5:30-6:30 in the morning and comes to get me. I’m ok with it though because he typically sleeps through the whole night now!
Avery has recently started chewing on his hands a lot. I bought him a teething mitt and he loves it! It makes a crinkle sound when you touch it and has a silicone pineapple on the top to chew on. He still loves his pacifiers, especially the wubbanubs because he can hold onto the stuffed animals. Another new thing he does that I love is he holds onto his swaddle blankets and rubs it on face to soothe himself to sleep for a nap. It’s really cute and sweet. I can’t wait to watch him reach new milestones and soon be playing alongside his brother which Mason will of course love!
So sweet!
Thank you!! 🙂
what a happy little boy! looking forward to your next Disneyland post with Avery in tow!
