I’ve wanted to try Butcher Box for a long time now. I kept seeing ads about it and I wanted to find a way to stay stocked up with high quality meat for my family. I was so excited to finally give them a try! I chose the beef box to start with. You could get beef, chicken, pork or a mix of the meats. With a custom box, you can select what cuts of meat you want as well. I just chose beef and was surprised with ground beef, two types of steak, a roast, and steak tips. I used the ground beef and it was really good. You could definitely tell it was high quality. Their beef is 100% grass fed and finished, pasture raised, and never given antibiotics or added hormones. My husband grilled the steaks for another dinner and he seasoned one and kept the other plain. It tasted so good as is and didn’t need anything extra added. We made mashed potatoes and mushrooms to go with it and it was delicious.
My kids love the chicken nuggets and I can’t wait to make the roast with veggies soon. I’m also looking forward to getting another box soon. Next time I want to try a mix of meats because they have a lot of chicken and pork options that look great for dinner.
