I have been wanting to make some changes to my health for a while now. I have had two kids in the past four years and that means my weight has been changing a lot. I want to work on eating healthier, losing some wight, and having more energy. I’ve never been a huge fan of popular diets that are out because they seem so restricting or challenging and you usually hear about people gaining back the weight once the diet is over.

I was really intrigued when I first heard about Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. I don’t necessarily need huge dinners, but I like knowing I can eat until I’m full and also enjoy dessert once in a while and not have it be a bad thing. I also like that it’s broken into three phases to teach you how to kickstart the program and how to keep going by incorporating it into your lifestyle.

“Specific higher-carbohydrate foods (including berries and cherries) support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep.” I thought this was really interesting to read because my family loves eating berries. I love cherries but we don’t have them often and when we do we usually eat them around lunch time. After reading this, I’d love to try getting more berries and cherries to eat as a snack before bed.

We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal. Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night. I know for myself, this is very true for how I grew up. I always thought we needed to eat an early dinner, but then I’d be hungry before bed most of the time and we are usually rushing to make and eat dinner because of work schedules. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the book to see what else he says and try it for myself. You can check out the website for Always Eat After 7PM by clicking HERE.
