Sean and I just celebrated our six year anniversary on July 26th. We were supposed to go on a big vacation a couple months ago to Disneyland and then go on our first cruise, but that was cancelled. Then we were going to go on a weekend trip to Tacoma like we have the past two years, but it didn’t seem too safe. Plus we’re in the process of buying a home and wanted to save as much as can for that. Our anniversary kept getting closer and we didn’t have any real plans. We did buy each other special gifts and gave them to each other early. I got Sean an Apple Watch and he got me sapphire Mickey Mouse earrings that are the sorcerer Mickey hat he wears in Fantasmic (My favorite show at Disneyland).
As our anniversary got closer, I thought we should just go out to a nice dinner, so my parents watched the kids for us and we went to Urban Fondue. Fondue is one of our favorite things and Urban Fondue has the best cheese we’ve ever had (Brie and Gorgonzola). We got dressed up and had a fun time, even though we had dinner reservations at 4:30 because it takes about 2 hours to get through 3 courses and we wanted tot be back to put the kids to bed on time. We enjoyed having a couple drinks (the pomegranate cosmopolitan was my favorite), cheese fondue, asparagus, meat (steak, lobster, salmon, shrimp, scallops, and oysters), and we had tiramisu chocolate fondue for dessert.
We went to dinner one day before our actual anniversary. On our actual anniversary, which was a Sunday, we hung out with the kids and had a fun day exploring with them. Then we went to my parents house so the kids could play outside with water balloons and a little pool because it was really hot. We stayed there to have a barbecue for dinner. It was a really nice, fun weekend. I’m glad we got to have a dinner by ourselves, but also celebrate later with the kids too.
